The Pleasure Podcast
Exploring critical issues of importance today—from bodily autonomy, to disability justice, to somatic embodied healing, and more—this podcast, developed and produced by Co-Director Deandra Escañuela, allowed our guests to contribute to their own, and each other's, flourishing. Featuring the voices, insights, and lived experiences of more than 20 people across the globe, we. built community and solidarity around a shared mission to recenter pleasure and wellbeing in conversations about health. We hope that our community of global listeners will be able to foster a deeper sense of connection to their sexual and intimate selves, broadening their understanding and appreciation for pleasure in their everyday lives.

Sexual Health Digital Literacy: A 101 Series
Young people today have the navigate an unending flow of information and messages in their online and digital worlds. With new and emerging technologies making it easier and easier to misinform (or outright lie), and influencers being paid money to promote particular views, products, and “truths,” it is more important than ever to create a space for comprehensive, holistic, inclusive information about sex, sexuality, and sexual health. This 16-part series, created and produced by Co-Directors Chloe Morris and Ally Castellanos, featured the voices of our community partners and other likeminded community organizations.

Normalizing Pleasure: A Youth-Led Town Hall
A Town Hall, created and run by Co-Directors Kayla Hayempour and Brooke Lum, exploring how this current sociopolitical moment is impacting sexual health and bodily autonomy, and shaping 2SLGBTQIA+ young people’s lives. Featuring: Joshua Baker, LMSW Youth Program Coordinator with The Knights and Orchids Society, Tara Jones, Founder and Executive Director of The Youth Sexpert Program, Iyana Roane from The Honey Club at Virginia Commonwealth University, Natania Ortiz, Student Advisory Board Member for UCLA URGE: Unite for Reproductive & Gender Equity, Lori Younissess Program Coordinator for The Pleasure Project, and Sebas Abbate from The University of Michigan’s Queer Advocacy Coalition.

Exploring the Body, Sexuality, & Gaze
Drawing from the literature on the male, female, oppositional, and queer gazes, Co-Director Vicky Lin will choreograph and produce a dance video. Questions explored include:
What does it mean to live in a body?
What does it mean to be embodied?
What does it mean to be perceived?
What does it mean to be seen?
What is the difference between being viewed and being witnessed? -

Story-First, Identity-Affirming Curriculum: Navigating Sexual Identity for Youth and Caregivers
This project, led by Co-Director Sophia Zarodkiewicz, will develop two research-informed, narrative-based curricula: one for middle and high school students and another for parents and caregivers. These curricula aim to assist young individuals in navigating their sexual identity with dignity, emotional safety, and a sense of community. Both curricula employ narrative pedagogy, experiential examples, and trauma-informed, affirming language to illustrate authentic scenarios, such as questioning, nonconformity, unsupportive peers or family, and mental health challenges, rather than depending just on facts and data.

Understanding Your Body: Reproductive Health for Every Age
Bodies are constantly changing. Understanding these changes should be embraced and encouraged. Yet, throughout many societies there has been a lack of information for all women understanding their menstrual cycle, safe sex practices, routine exams for STIs and pap smears, and menopause. This project, led by Co-Director Elisha Novoa, aims to fill these gaps by creating an educational module for the website focused on: teens ages 13 to 18 searching for information on positive basic bodily autonomy; young adults ages 20 - 35 searching for how to ensure they are supporting their sexual health; and older adults ages 40-65 learning about how aging impacting their sexual wellbeing and lives.
